More fun friends!

On our way home from SSI we got to meet the Barnes for lunch at Chick fil a. Reid and Andrew were in K4 at KUMC together and his mama is one of my good friends. So fun to get to see them and meet their sweet little girl!!

 While we were in SSI, our friends from Summerville, who are now in Virginia. were driving down to Jacksonville, where Ernie is temporarily working. Ernie came up and met them in SSI and they stayed with us for a night. So fun.

 

Kristen was one of my first friends in Summerville. We were on MOPS steering, taught at KUMC, took a road trip or two :) , were in several Bible Studies, and met weekly for prayer. Our boys were instant and forever friends. God sure knew what he was doing. Kristen has been and is still a HUGE encouragement to me. She is such a Godly woman, always bringing me back to the God and back to His Word. So thankful for her friendship.

Reid and his BFF Garrett. These two have been friends since they can remember. They pick up right where they left off, like it hasn't been months since they have seen each other. two peas in a pod.

One Month

 

I can. not. believe. he is one month old already. I know everyone says that, but seriously. I just had him. I was just flying back from China 33 weeks pregnant. I just found out I was pregnant!

 The fourth one is different. I just want to stop time--just for a bit. And sit. And enjoy his sweet, littleness. 

Maybe when we get back overseas I will have the chance. But he will be even bigger then. sigh.

At one month he is getting into a good eat, play, sleep schedule. And is still being fought over by his siblings. Wonder when that will stop?

He weighs about 8 lbs! 

He is pretty alert, loves to look at lights

He does NOT love tummy time, but can hold his head up pretty well. 

He has been giving me 6 hour stretches most nights. SO thankful. I am trying not to expect it, but since I haven't napped once since he was born, night sleep is FABULOUS!!

We got his passport and sent off for his visa this week. Typical one month old things :)

We think he is starting to get his own little look. Still a lot like Reid though.

Our fun friends from China, the Wrights, drove through Atlanta on their way to Orlando and we got to have lunch with them! We ate at Mellow Mushroom and then had some yummy cupcakes--mmmm!

They are in the States for a bit too, but will head back right before we do.

First bath

  

Knox had his first bath today. His umbilical cord fell off this morning--yay!

He wasn't quite sure what to think at first....

 

I had lots of  helpers

 

everyone got a chance to wash....

 and then Knox decided he had figured out how he felt about baths...

 not his favorite thing....yet. Hopefully he will come around!

Two weeks

Fist pump! I made it to two weeks!

Knox loves to snuggle with his lion and suck on his paci. He would rather his thumb, but mommy and daddy are insisting on the paci--easier to take away :)

He probably weighs about 7 lbs? 

Still eats every three hours during the day, but is giving me 4-5 hour stretches at night--woo hoo!

Nurses like a champ!

He is much more awake and aware of things these days.
Got his passport pictures taken this week.
He fusses sometimes in the evening--think it may be his belly.

Still such a laid back baby. Thankful.
