So it is always a bit odd to be in a place that doesn't celebrate a holiday that is huge in your home country. We had a really fun pot luck dinner by the pool planned for July 4th with all the expats in our neighborhood. It rained REALLY hard that afternoon, so we had to move it to a room inside a common building in our complex. I have no pictures from that because it was a bit of mass chaos with LOTS of energetic kids in a small room :)
Some families bought extra fireworks during Chinese New Year and stored them for the 4th of July. Since it was raining we rescheduled out 4th for the 6th :)
So we went out to a field and the kids got to do some sparklers and the dads set off some really big, fun fireworks!
